I miss my computer. I need my computer. I love my computer.Mike Witman graciously procured my hard drive and is tinkering with it free of charge, the alternative course of action being a not so nominal repair fee. Mike is quite the computer whiz, which was very surprised to learn. I knew he was quite adept at HTML, but finding out that he actually built his own computer was like finding out that Condoleeza Rice can breakdance or that Mother Teresa could catch a fly with chopsticks like Mr. Miyagi. Well, sometimes people surprise you.
In the meantime I'm back here in the computer lab on a Sunday afternoon, the best time of the week, listening to the Prairie Home Companion on streaming NPR. NOTHING beats good old folksy, G-rated, blushing-at-words-like-"intersection" public radio on a quiet, lazy Sunday afternoon. Nobody's in a hurry, nobody's talking politics, the trees are at peak foliage, it's a startlingly warm, beautiful day, and come to think of it... what am I doing here? I need me some Forest Park.
